Just have some free time for my process of design new brushless gimbal for Sony NEX5.
Some pics of assembly. However It needs to be some modify for easy to balance and suitable for more motor types.
I just receiver the alu Brushless gimbal for Gopro from RCTIMER. It is 99.99 USD + 5 USD shipped to my place - Viet Nam.
To day is start of public holiday in Vietnam and my family will go for travel. However, I can not stop myself to assembly it :-)

Box open, what we have including an Alu gimbal kit, parts are well manufacturing,all the screw, the anti vibration damper and carbon plates. I hate this Blog tool since it is just rotate my pics :-(
The motor is 2212 which is make for Brushless gimbal it have 12P. It also comes with the wire for connect to control board.
The hold for the motor shaft and the left side shaft is a bit small maybe because of the anodise, I have to drill it for fixing to the motor shaft.
Finally it is smooth turns. The Vibration damper is soft and hope it will gives jello free.
Now it is time for travel and enjoin holidays. I will back with electronic part on 1st of May. The control board will be open source V3 board from taobao.com as the previous gopro carbon gimbal.
The brushless gimbal become more and more used.I try one from taobao.com which is very good in price. and the gimbal control used open source code.

Wow it is the busy time and just have some free tiem to day for motor assembly.
The motor is Foxtech 48-22 690 KV. I actually want to used the Sunnysky 3508 - 380 KV for 4S but this motor used 15" props and this kit can used max 13" only. May be I will make an extention with X650 motor mount parts.

Today the AFS-Y6 copter has been maidened and I am very happy with performance. Some Pics to share:
The final kit with 15x55 props, the landing gear is temporary and will change to new one with camera gimbal and also need the canopy.
Closer view of electronic parts: Flight controler YS-X4.ESC is Hobbywing 30A-6S design for multicopter. Motors are new sunnysky 3508 disk type motor.

Take of with once extra battery as the load testing, the second battery is not connect to power.
The flight is perfect, the motor is so quiets. The YS-X4 as the Ys-X6 do an excellence GPS hold.
Some test results:
With one 6S - 5000maH All flight Weight is 2.5kgs and it can fly for 20 minutes and take 4000maH re-charged.
With one extra battery as the load (0.8kg = Gimbal and Sony NEX5n) make total weight as 3.3kgs, it can fly for 12 minutes with the same 4000maH charge back after flight.

Next test fly will be extended the telemetry link and do way-point test since my Ys-X4 is navigator version.
It is rather busy time for last few weeks. Now it is time to get back to my hobby: built multicopter.
This time I start with Ys-X4 since it is new and good price 650USD for full navigator version ( 8 way points unlimited distance).
First it come to my Overlap Mikrokopter Octo as required from my friend. He like to YS-X6 since it is more simple to setup and control by his Android phone. I post tosale the MK electronicfor that requirement. However the YS-X4 come so I give it a try with this OCto electronic replace ment and also my new foldable Y6 which also modify my old design frame.
The Ys-X4 Navidation version is good, the case of FC is make from alu (Why???) so it rather heavy.
I bought 2 of this from Himodel.
I did replcae the Mk electronic with thsi Ys-X4 and give Octo back to my friend, and forgot to take pics. I will update it soon. ( Image need to updated)
